The first volume in the Cathedrals... trilogy is probably the most dynamic recording in the Somnambulist Red back catalog. Most all of the album was recorded live in one take (with a few additional guitars, e-bow added later), giving it a very gargantuan sound that is both pummeling and atmospheric.
